enhancing education
This research study aims to identify different learning styles and infuse design elements into the curriculum in the form of activities that are embedded with trans-disciplinary connects across classes and core subject groups. The study is designed to compel the teacher to facilitate learning through layered individual observations and reflections by the learner.

objective
To understand the present scenario of interactions and learning in the classroom, and to examine the factors that determine and, in some cases, undermine the quality of learner outcomes in a K-12 school setting.
solution
The design focuses on integrating various learning methods that are naturally embedded in everyday experiences. Such a design would draw meaningful connects across core subject groups working on cognitive as well as the psychosocial domains.
the design process

Key Findings
I observed that the communication, instruction and teaching taking place in the classroom are largely one way processes. The information flow is unidirectional, from the teacher to the student, with low opportunities for collaborative dialogue. The classroom, as a space, does not provide much scope to facilitate interaction between the students and the teacher. The educational system demands that the content of the class be strictly limited to the curriculum prescribed books.
Mapping the learning process

SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT
The proposed design focuses on integrating various learning platforms that are naturally embedded in everyday experiences. The design draws meaningful connects across core subject groups, working on cognitive as well as the psychosocial domains. The activities outlined as a learning opportunities, lend itself to trans-disciplinary learning practices. Through these processes, the learning establishes strong connects across different concepts.
This process of retention and sharing is a continuous cycle that allows for constant growth of the learner. From within this process, arises the scope for application of the lesson in their lives.
Measuring impact
An activity was conducted with students to understand the scope for creating and implementing a multi-sensory learning model to test this proposed model's feasibility. It also helped identify the specific sensory approach that each learner preferred, to provide insight into individual facilitation preferences.
This method of engagement was put to practice during the development of a curriculum model for Printmaking and Art History classes where a collaborative approach was sought. The implementation of a collaborative peer engagement approach in these classes showed an increased level of engagement that allowed the students to learn from each other. This created an increased opportunity of application specifically while comparing the learning material to their lived experiences.
